I’ve taken about 10 lessons with Valdemar so far. He coached me from Plat III to Conq I with my main civ. Valdemar is very efficient in our classes and I feel like I get more than my money’s worth out of it. Although I have a full time job and only play AoE4 as a hobby, I feel like his analysis unlocked new dimensions to the game for me, and my game judgement of how adaptable you need to be with the game evolved over time. Valdemar also exposed me to strategies that felt “top secret” by the pros, and I could use them on my own ladder climbing, and felt a little exclusive too. There’s a practise discord as part of his coaching too, where you and other high level players can discuss strategy, practice custom games against each other, play series with drafts, and of recent there’s even been an internal tournament. I did have the chance to meet Valdemar (and other pros) in person at King of the Rockies in 2025. He, as well as his fellow Dane msn.dk stood out to me to include lower level players as a valued part of the community.
